A process and assembly remove dust from a flow of raw gas by means of the introduction of dry adsorbents and / or dry adsorption agents in a vertically-arranged cylindrical reactor (1). The raw gas flows from upwards through the reactor where it is brought into contact with the dry adsorbents and / or dry adsorption agents, and subsequently passes through a filter tube around the reactor (1). The novelty is that after leaving the reactor (1), the flow of raw gas passes first through a perforated cylindrical wall (4) before being surrendered to the filter hoses (20). The absorption agents employed are calcium hydroxide or sodium carbonate, depending upon the nature of the dust.
