Method and apparatus for removing dynamic errors in a precision accelerometer

The method uses a precision accelerometer (2) working with a slave accelerometer (4). Simultaneous measurements are taken by both accelerometers and the difference between the values measured is calculated. The absolute value of this difference is compared in a comparison step which is dependent upon the precision of each of the two accelerometers. The accelerometer measure used is either the value measured by the precision accelerometer, if the absolute value is less than or equal to the comparison step, or the value measured by the slave accelerometer, if the absolute value is greater than the step comparison.
