The device has a pipeline system matched in dia. to the body size of the rats, with automatic closure of an entry door upon entry of the rat and operation of a fan providing hot or cold air causing the flight of the rat to a refrigerated reception container at the end of the pipeline system where it is killed by freezing. The entry of the rat may be detected via a movement sensor or a light barrier (2), with subsequent activation of the electric heating for the hot air provided by the fan, which continues to operate for a further cooling down time.
