Corrosion resistance, high vanadium, powder metallurgy tool steels with improved metal wear resistance and methods of making same

A high-vanadium, powder metallurgy cold worked tool steel product and its production method are disclosed. Products containing chromium, vanadium, carbon, and nitrogen are controlled during production to achieve the desired combination of corrosion resistance and metal abrasion resistance.
