The present invention relates to a -cyclodextrin derivative, and more particularly to a -cyclodextrin derivative useful for optical isomer separation, which comprises a compound having the following formula (I) wherein an isopropylsilane group is introduced into the carbon at the 6-position A new -CD derivative is provided and is used as a stationary phase of the CGC column in the separation of the racemic optically active material.;The present invention also provides a method for producing the -cyclodextrin derivative as described above and a method for separating an optical isomer using such a derivative.
