FIELD: construction engineering. SUBSTANCE: in operating a multispan beam with changing location and value of applied load, measured is deformation at controlled points of beam. Beam is subjected to additional forceful actions depending on measured values of deformation by alternate displacements of supports. Device for increasing load-bearing capacity of beam has operating mechanisms, deformation sensors, signals processing unit.
