UNIT FOR PROCESSING OF IRON ORE IN MOLTEN-METAL POOL

FIELD: metallurgical industry; processing of iron ore into semiproduct or steel. SUBSTANCE: unit has rotating horizontal cylindrical lines furnace with molten-metal pool, whose working volume is separated into three technological zones with different diameters. The diameter of the middle technological zone is smaller than that of extreme zones and its lining has through channels communicating the furnace extreme zones. Besides, the middle technological zone and zone of the side of charging have protrusions located at an angle of 20-45 deg to furnace cylinder element. The furnace is installed, with its middle part, on circular pontoon. Discharging part has roller support. The unit is provided with cylindrical furnace for heating of charge. Charging head of the furnace is connected with gas vent of metal receiver and discharging head with charging head of the furnace is connected with molten-metal pool.
