FIELD: radio-measuring technology. SUBSTANCE: detection of examined SHF oscillation is carried out by two independent SHF detectors. Variable components U1~(t) and U2~(t) of their output voltages include voltages of examined SHF oscillation Ufl~(t) and voltages of inherent noises of detectors detected by fluctuation. Voltages detected by fluctuations Ufl~(t) are isolated by way of correlation processing. For this value of normal mutual correlation function r1,2 between voltage U1~(t) and U2~(t) is measured. Then examined SHF oscillation is subjected to additional calibrated modulation and relation of value U1~(t) and U2~(t) is changed to obtain equality of voltages included in them and having modulation frequency. Then additional calibrated modulation is removed and dispersions D1 and D2 of voltages U1~(t) and U2~(t) are measured and dispersion of voltage detected by fluctuations in output voltages in this case is found by formula , where Ufl~(t) is variable component of voltage detected by fluctuations: U1~(t), U2~(t) are variable components of output voltages of SHF detectors: D1, D2 are dispersions of output voltages of SHF detectors; are root-mean-square values of variable components of voltages U1~(t), U2~(t); r1,2 is normal mutual correlation function between variable components of output voltages U1~(t) and U2~(t) of independent SHF detectors.
