METHOD FOR PROPHYLAXIS AND TREATING PURULENT PULMONARY COMPLICATIONS ASSOCIATED WITH HEAVY CRANIOCEREBRAL INJURY

FIELD: neurosurgery; reanimatology. SUBSTANCE: during 1-2 h after injury, patient's right and left lungs are separately subjected to irradiation with infrared light through light guide introduced into primary bronchi. Irradiation is effected by semiconductor infrared laser at wavelength 830 nm, power 5 mWt, for 5 min., procedure being repeated after 24 h. Subsequent 3-7 irradiation procedures are spaced apart by 48-hour time interval. EFFECT: prevention of pyo-inflammatory complications in lungs; shorter treatment period.
