SUBSTANCE: method involves laying fire bricks in succession through height and over bottom of ladle metal casing; coating with coating mixture; heating lining and maintaining temperature at predetermined level between the stages of emptying and filling ladle with steel. Casing inner surface is covered with coating mixture of 3-5 mm thick layer; then one layer of grog bricks is laid with following coating of brick joints with mixture of 4-6 mm thick layer and heating ladle for 1-2 hours to temperature of 600-800 C. Method further involves laying cob pitch dolomite bricks without coating brick joints, with bricks being laid to form one layer of annular parallel rows through height of ladle and to form two layers on its bottom, with allowance at brick joints being within the range of 0.001-0.003 of brick size; heating ladle to 400-500 C for 4-6 hours, with period between successive emptying and charging of ladle with steel lasting for 2-6 hours and lining temperature at this period of time being maintained within the range of 900-1000 C. Gaps between brick joint surfaces are filled at local portions with pitch dolomite mixture of powder fraction or thin strip of soft steel is put into such gaps. EFFECT: improved strength of pouring ladles and enhanced reliability in operation.
