FIELD: medical engineering. SUBSTANCE: inventive novelty of proposed link gear knee joint prosthesis resides in fact that its link gear houses sleeve accommodating two oppositely directed cones, balls, supporting washers, spring, pusher, lever, lower and upper lids and fixing elements. Balls fill gap defined by cones disposed in sleeve and by rod. Balls are pressed against cones and rod by spring which transmits its pressure via supporting washers. Pressure exerted by spring is limited by pusher longitudinally travelling inside link gear and by lever articulately mounted on one of lids of system to be damped, whereas other lid is rigidly attached to link gear. EFFECT: invalid applies less force for fixation of knee joint prosthesis under load. 1 cl, 2 dwg
