EXTRACT OF FUNGUS PYTHIUM ULTIMUM MYCELIUM FOR POTATO PLANT PROTECTION AGAINST PHYTOPHTHORA INFECTION

FIELD: biotechnology, plant protection. SUBSTANCE: mycelium of fungus Pythium ultimum is grown in submerged culture and extracted with the boiling 50% isopropanol. Treatment of plants with an aqueous phase of this extract at dilutions 1:100, 1:500, 1:1000 and 1:10000/g mycelum decreased infection of potato and tomato leaves with Phytophthora infestants, spore formation of this pathogen productivity, inhibited pathogen penetration in tuber tissues and protected the potato vegetating plants against epiphytotisis phytophthora infection under field conditions. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of plant protection.
