FIELD: membrane technics. SUBSTANCE: membrane comprises substrate composed of at least one layer of inorganic material with average and maximum pore sizes 0.05-0.3 and 0.5-2.0 mcm, respectively. To manufacture membrane, transition metal alkoxide alcohol solution with component weight ratio 0.5 to 10 is hydrolyzed in aqueous solution of peptizing agent at peptizer to alkoxide and water to alkoxide mole ratios 0.1-1.2 and 50-300, respectively. Temperature of hydrolysis is maintained on the level of 50-100 C. Resultant sol is mixed with solution of polymer thickener to viscosity 50-100 mPa s and mixture is applied onto substrate preliminarily impregnated with solution of an sol-incompatible polymer. Covered substrate is allowed to stay to lose moisture and then is calcined at temperature rise rate in the range 0.1 to 1 C per 1 min, each time being held for at least 30 min at 150-160, 300-350, and 500-700 C to produce desired product. Invention may be used in microbiology, pharmaceutical, food, and other industries. EFFECT: improved quality of membrane due to using optimized manufacture parameters.
