SUBSTANCE: laser has excitation chamber stretched along gas mixture flow, optical resonator which is stable and unstable in two relatively perpendicular planes whose axis crosses gas mixture flow; resonator unstable planets inclined to gas mixture flow and its caustic surface crosses almost entire flow section. Laser provides for compact single-mode radiation in wide-aperture excitation chamber. EFFECT: reduced cost due to dispensing with toroidal mirrors; improved stability of resonator adjustment.
