The cross point array allows a number of electrical circuits with different functions (f1-f9) to the coupled to a tone bus system, by connecting their output signals to the bus lines (13) via meshing elements (d). The bus is line coupled via further meshing elements (m) to the inputs of further circuits. The meshing elements are provided by analogue demultiplexers (d) and multiplexers (m) allowing modification of the circuit connections without modification of the circuit hardware.
