A circuitry arrangement to cover peak energy demands in electric alternating or three-phase current networks is connected to a plurality of consumers (11). At least part of the consumers (11) are equipped with a stand-by current supply with a rectifier (15) fed by accumulators (13) and by the network (14). During short peak demands by the network (14), a fraction of the accumulator energy from the individual, decentralised stand-by supply networks (23) is fed into the network (14) as long as the peak demand lasts and the energy still available in the accumulator (13) is sufficient to ensure a stand-by current supply.
