摘要
The process sorbs pollutants from ground water flowing through sediments or deposits. A slotted wall (1) is introduced into the flow path of the ground water by insertion into the sediment, resembling an open sheet piling system. The wall is set at an angle 90 deg with respect to the direction of undisturbed flow. On the flow approach side of the wall and parallel to it, one or more rows of sorption elements (3) are inserted. The sorbent in the elements purifies the flow, and is exchanged from time to time, when saturated with pollutants. Also claimed is a sorption element which comprises a central suction tube (7) for ground water. A filling tube (8) supplies polyelectrolytes and in the lower region of the filling tube is an outlet opening (9) for the polyelectrolytes. A continuously perforated inner tube (4) covers the entire length and is closed at the base with a plate (10) and contains a coaxial, reversible screw (10) to mix the polyelectrolyte with material introduced into the inner tube. The lower end of the suction tube is arranged beneath the base plate (10).
