In a device for cleaning a gas stream (10) by contact with a moving filter (2) which includes, as a filter medium, a circulated solid material (3) with a high specific surface through which the gas flows, the direction of movement of the filter medium is not the same as that of the gas.Also claimed is a process for waste gas cleaning by removing pollutants by adsorption onto a filter medium.
