The method involves accelerating a blasting medium e.g. gas such as compressed air and nitrogen, in jet nozzles (16, 18) so that the blasting medium strikes a cylindrical particle filter (22) with speed of sound, where the medium contains solid- or liquid blasting agents. The filter is made of a ceramic material, and is arranged in front of suction openings (34, 34') during blasting, where the openings suck the medium and ambient air. The filter is designed as a solid body that has pores and/or channels opening towards a surface by blasting using the medium. An independent claim is also included for a device for cleaning filters.
