The top shell consists of a surface-fitted (3) covering (11) having surrounding sides (12) and with width (b1) and length (l1). The bottom shell (8) is made up of a baseplate (9) with surround walls (10) and of length (l) and width (b). The length and width of the bottom shell are less than those of the upper shell so the upper is thrust onto the bottom shell. The inside surface of the cover (11) and/or that of the baseplate (9) should carry transverse ribs and the top surface (3) of the mat should lie flush with the ground (16) in service.
