Ring-spinning machine drafting frame with more equalised sliver draft

A drafting frame for spinning machines has at least three roller pairs forming draft zones which follow one another in the direction the sliver runs. At least one zone includes a sliver guide with a surface for the running sliver located in the wedge gap of the roller pair following the draft zone. The guide (19, 22, 22') includes a brake (30, 30', 40) for the sliver in the region of the wedge gap (46) which has a press piece (31, 31', 47) which slides on the sliver (29) and can be flexed to lie on it with an applied force towards the guide surface (36, 42).
