The high-desk is used as an accessory or can be added onto the desk or table (10). The bottom cupboard is a container (14) secured to the high-desk and capable of being pushed under the table. The desk plate (20) is supported on a column (16) extending vertically upwards above the tabletop. It extends over at least part of the container so that it extends over the tabletop once the container is pushed under the table.
