Straight-guiding of running belt of flat track test bed supported across drums, for vehicle testing

The method is carried out by a running belt (5) of a flat track test bed. A tension roller (7) is provided at the inner side of the slack bed side, to maintain the specified belt tension at a vertical axis, running orthogonal to the running axis, in the middle between the both ends of the tension roller, supported at the same measure horizontally in the opposite direction, as a reaction to the push forces introduced by the side forces, by their rotation. During the testing of vehicles, a preloaded path of the tension roller and its max. possible rotation are measured. The flat track test bed for carrying out the method has a running belt is supported, preloaded passed over and driven across a drive and a deflection drum (2,3).
