Humidifier for test chamber of environmental simulation equipment

The humidifier incorporates an evaporator (10) thermally insulated (30) from an outer wall of the chamber (11), which contains a humidity sensor (4) connected to the controller (24) of a pump (20) delivering the liquid from a tank (14) through a capillary tube (16) to a nozzle (62). The vapour is produced by positive-temperature-coefficient heating elements in the wall of the evaporator, which releases vapour through an opening (32) into the chamber. The pump is protected by a fine filter (18), and its controller responds to signals from a liquid monitor (28) and level gauge (26) as well as from the humidity sensor.
