The force pick-up has connection elements (5) for the connection of the measuring transmitter esp. a strain gauge strip (3). This can be clipped on a spring body (6) extending on the rope (2) in the linear direction of the rope. The spring body is made of a thin metal sheet, essentially rectangular, of which the long side forms two edge webs (7) The central web (8), has two recesses (9) extending in the longitudinal direction of the spring body (6), for securing the spring body on the tensioned rope (2). In the secured condition, the two edge webs are arranged on one side of the rope and the central web on the other side of the rope.
