The device has a probe with at least four electrodes (15,15',15'',15''') for measuring an electrical voltage drop across a waste water pipe (1) and the electrical current density within the pipe. It has at least two temp. sensors (20,20') for measuring the temp. gradient inside the waste water pipe. The probe contains at least one chemical sensor (30), at least one neutron source and/or gamma ray source (40) and at least one radiation specific metering device (41).
