Power measurement on cycle or home trainer driven by foot pedal esp. for female cyclist

The method for power measurement is based on a precise determination of the speed alteration, which is produced by the pedalling of the cyclist. The instantaneous power of the cyclist is determined using a suitable computation with the assistance of a microcontroller. The instantaneous power is determined from the speed fluctuations, the time, the average speed and the mass of the vehicle e.g. cycle and cyclist using a microcontroller. With a home trainer, the mass is replaced by the mass moment of inertia of the flywheel.
