The method involves first loading laundry baskets (2) with an appropriately sorted and counted batch of fresh washing (3) in a central laundry. These baskets are then loaded onto trucks (1), which are then transported to the hospital, etc. The trucks are distributed about the destinations floors and their baskets unladen, their batches distributed. The empty baskets and or trucks are laden with bags (4) filled with soiled washing. These are transported back to the laundry to be washed, dried, ironed and folded. The baskets and trucks are disinfected, and then put back into use.
