The device includes a control- and evaluation arrangement (2) for controlling the device and for determining a fill volume. The arrangement a leverage source (3), valves (4-8) and a pressure sensor (10), which are connected with each other. A leverage conductor (11) connects the leverage source (3) over a first valve (4) and at least a pressure storage (12,13,14) with a second valve (5). The pressure sensor is arranged in a conductor between the first valve and the second valve. The second valve is connected in a sealed manner with the casing opening of the object (17), whose fill volume is to be measured. The second valve and the opening are connected over a conductor (15) and connecting element (16).
