The generator achieves continuous attenuation of the magnetic flux through the generator coils during operation by regulating the power with varying revolution rate. When the magnetic flux is reduced, the magnet can be removed from the magnetic circuit without becoming demagnetised. A flux control plate (3) can be used without causing eddy current braking as the flux control plate rotates with the magnet (1).
