The invention relates to a layer sequence with at least one epitaxial, non-c-axis oriented high-temperature superconductor (HTSC) thin film with a virtually tetragonal structure, in which a cubic or pseudo-cubic substrate is bonded to said thin film. Here, the thin film has an orientation (oK/o01) in relation to the film surface and here oK/o (K=-K) assumes a value from the range K = 1, 2, ... .
