PURPOSE:To reduce the number of microprogram steps required for execution of division with codes by providing a means, where code information of divisor and a dividend are stored, and a control means which determines whether operation struction signal with the complement data of 2 from an execution control part should be supplied to an ALU or not in response to the output of the storage means. CONSTITUTION:A micro sequencer 1 designates operation of the absolute value of the divisor during the write of the dividend to a register 32, that is, the sequencer 1 outputs operation designating data ODS of the complement data of 2 to an ALU 9 through a signal line 16 and generates the operation instruction signal SDC of the complement data of 2 together with a signal DDW. This signal SDC is supplied to a temporary register set 3 as the data read signal to the ALU 9 of a divisor register 31. Consequently, it is automatically determined whether the operation of complement of 2 for the absolute value should be executed or invalidated without providing a microprogram with code detecting steps for the divisor and the dividend. Thus, the number of steps of the microprogram is reduced to increase the operation speed.
