The device consists of a pair of solid bodies, e.g. spheres (4,5), cylinders or other shapes, located one above the other on a support such as a vertical shaft (3). The dimensions of the two bodies are significantly different from each other, but they are formed of material of equal density. The smaller of the two bodies is internally ballasted with lead to increase its weight to greatly in excess of that of the larger body. The vertical shaft is supported by a base plate (1) or suspended from its upper end. The upper end of the shaft has a stop (7) preventing removal of the bodies from the shaft, which may include a candle holder or other decorative feature.
