Novel composition for batteries 'leclanche' (r) sodium chloride, using a conductive polymer: associated with a complexing agent of the heavy metals

A new compsn. for cathodic de-polariser mixts. used in "Leclanche" (R) batteries contains a polymer with conjugated bonds: this may be polyaniline, polypyrrole, polythiophene, or polyparaphenylene, in association with a complexing agent which will combine with heavy metals contained in the natural minerals of MnO2. The complexant is 1,10-phenanthronile, ethyldiamine, triaminotriethylamine, triethylenetriamine, tetraethylenepentamine, EDTA, EGTA, or dimethylglyoxime.
