An electroexplosive initiator including two electrical power supply pins (7), a pyrotechnic composition (4) stored in a container (2, 3), and a bridge (23) forming an electrical connection between the pins (7). The bridge (23) is placed on a plate (11) and the bridge (23) and the plate (11) form part of an electronic microcomponent (20) to which the pins (7) are connected. The composition (4) is packed into the container (2, 3), and the composition (4) and the microcomponent (20) are pressurised and combined in said container (2, 3). The initiator is useful in safety systems, particularly for motor vehicles.
