Process is claimed for neutralising munitions (2) made of a metallic casing (2.1) surrounding a charge (2.2), where the casing is pierced locally by an electrochemical tool (5). Machine for neutralising munitions using the above process, comprising an electrode forming the tool and means of moving the electrode through the casing, and a receiver (1) containing the electrode and at least partially filled with electrolyte.
