The cell, for measuring petro-physical and poro-mechanical characteristics of a rock sample, comprises a body (12) inside which is a measuring chamber (22), means of heating (56) the measuring chamber, bearings (40, 42) to receive the sample and means (28) to apply an axial constraint to the sample via the bearings, a sleeve (60) which is sealed around the sample and bearings to isolate the sample from the measuring chamber, means of applying a hydraulic pressure in the measuring chamber to generate radial constraints on the sample through the sleeve.
