The boat has two floats (1,2) and a connecting part (3,4) joining the two hulls. A screw (5) is mounted on a propeller shaft which is driven by a pedal gear (7,8). The floats have a deck part (42) cantilevered from the hull under which a free part of the shaft extends. The main float (1) has three seats (28,29,30) one of which is located in the cantilevered deck. The secondary float (2) does not have any seats. The ratio of the main float volume to that of the second float volume is greater than or equal to two. The main float is constituted by an upper wall forming a deck and by a lower wall forming the float hull. The main float is provided on a substantial part of its length with an asymmetric transverse section in which the propeller shaft extends under the cantilevered deck. This section is set back by a distance (22) relative to the vertical median plane (19) of the two hulls.
