The plant protector is designed in a variety of sizes to cover one or more plants of the salad vegetables. It is established, over the plant, in the form of a bonnet (2), presenting one or more nets. The nets may be woven or not, and may be manufactured in plastics or textile material. The nets may be single or stacked on each other, and may be mixed or not. The bonnet is arranged, such that it covers the head of the plant. Alternatively it protects a peripheral part of the plant, below the head. The nets are provided with a mechanism to form an element for closing the bonnet around the plants. The mechanism may be along the length of the edge (2a), or within the net. The plant passes through the opening (2b), formed by the closing edge.
