The defective roof (1) which comprises horizontal beams supporting the roof and resting on supports (2) is secured by making, above the roof, a safety frame able to carry the defective structure. This safety frame is formed by a horizontal metal beam (10) and raising stools (12b) for supporting it which are placed on top of the defective structure supports. The supports are raised by a height between 0.5 m and 1.5 m. In order to raise a support an opening is drilled in the safety beam above the support. Hangers (14) from the metal beam suspend the horizontal defective structure beam.
