The movable piece of furniture comprises a display arrangement holding a variety of printed materials and items of display equipment, forming an attractive console for publicising information. It may include a theme panel (5) which holds brochures and displays, and further displayed items (6) including press reviews etc. Monitor screens (7) operate continuously to provide images or film programmes under the control of a computer system. An interactive module (8) is provide where the visitor can respond to information provided, and make suggestions. The whole console is intended to be attractive and encourage the public to participate in obtaining information and providing further suggestions.
