The mobile gantry (1) has a rectangular frame (2a) with a counterweight (3) attached to guide rails (3a) It has stabilisers (2e), a tow bar (2c) which can be attached to either end of the frame and a fixed, vertical support (4). At the top of the support there is a plate (4a) mounted on an axis (4b), activated by a jack (4c). The plate supports a turret (4d). One end of a fixed square hollow beam (5) is attached to the turret, the other end is C-shaped and has extension arms (5c,5d) attached. One extension arm is slightly smaller than the other and they are opened out to form an extension of the beam. The beams of two gantries can be joined together by a sleeve. The beams may also be square, circular or any other shape which offers a sufficiently rigid structure.
