Anti-neoplastic agents of formula (I) and (II) wherein Y is =N- or =CR-, wherein R is hydrogen or C 1 -C 4 alkyl; R 1 is hydrogen; C 1 -C 4 alkyl; -COR 6 wherein R 6 is C 1 -C 4 alkyl unsubstituted or substituted by phenyl or phenyl in which the phenyl moiety or the phenyl ring is unsubstituted or substituted by 1 to 3 substituents independently chosen from C 1 -C 4 alkyl, C 1 -C 4 alkoxy, halogen and CF 3 ; or -CONH-R 6 wherein R 6 is as defined above; R 2 is halogen; each of R 3 and R 4 independently is hydrogen or C 1 -C 4 alkyl; R 5 is hydrogen or a specified substituent; and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof, are provided.
