The process includes first fabricating a compact or sintering body composed of tungsten and elements from among Fe, Ni and Co but not manganese, then putting manganese thereon, and sintering the manganese, whereby the formation of pores, which occurs because the deoxidation of oxides existing on the surface of powders of tungsten, nickel and iron generate oxidized manganese, is controlled, and a tungsten heavy alloy having a density of of 100% of theoretical density is obtained.
