PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent precipitation of gypsum on the membrane part of a membrane separator for separating chlorine by providing an acidification tank acidifying desulfurization waste water to prevent the precipitation of gypsum on the membrane separator on the upstream side of the membrane separator. ;SOLUTION: A part of dechlorinated water wherein chlorine is separated and removed by a membrane separator 2 is returned to an acidifying tank 1 to be reutilized for the acidification of desulfurization waste water while the remaining dechlorinated water is again introduced into a desulfurization apparatus to be reutilized for desulfurization. In a wet desulfurization waste water treatment apparatus 15, the acidification tank 1 acidifying desulfurization waste water to increase the solubility of gypsum is provided on the upstream side of the membrane separator 2 to prevent the precipitation and adhesion of gypsum to the electrolytic membranes of the membrane separator 2. Therefore, the lowering of electrolytic efficiency generated by the precipitation and adhesion of gypsum to the electrolytic membranes can be prevented. Since a part of acidified desulfurization waste water is returned to the acidification tank 1 to be reutilized, an amt. of an acid to be added is reduced to achieve cost reduction.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
