REMOTE CONTROLLABLE AND REMOTE MONITORIAL TRAIN INSTRUMENTATION SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a train instrumentation system that can control an instrumentation device, mounted on a train, from a remote place and monitor the instrumentation device in the remote place so as to dispense with an operator. ;SOLUTION: A train instrumentation system 1 consists of an instrumentation device 3 mounted on a train, and an exterior device 5 installed outside of the train. The instrumentation device 3 is composed of various sensors for detecting signals of acceleration and the like of the train, a signal processor 7 for processing signals from the sensors 6, and a first signal transmitter-receiver 9 for communication. The exterior device 5 is composed of a second signal transmitter-receiver 10 communicating with the first signal transmitter-receiver 9, and a control device 11 for controlling communication of the second signal transmitter-receiver 10. The exterior device 5 is provided with a monitor 13 connected to the second signal transmitter-receiver 10. The instrumentation device can be controlled from a remote place by the control device 11, and various data of the instrumentation device can be monitored in the remote place by the monitor 13 so as to dispense with an operator and a monitor in the train.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
