SENSOR FOR MULTIPLE-LINE HOT MELT ADHESIVE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform the detection of multiple lines of hot melt at a favorable precision by a simple constitution, and in addition, reduce the cost by providing a detection area setting unit which arranges a detection area for the detection of the hot melt in respective lines, in a manner to be shifted from the carrying direction of a work. ;SOLUTION: A work W under a state wherein two lines of hot melt H₂₁, H₂₂ are adhered, is carried by a conveyor 27. In this case, at a detection area A₂₂ where the work reaches first, out of detection areas A₂₁, A₂₂, the hot melt H₂₂ is detected, and at the detection area A₂₁ which has an interval L to the detection area A₂₂, the hot melt H₂₁ is detected. A light receptor element 21 receives the radiation waves of the hot melt H₂₁, H₂₂ at respective detection areas A₂₁, A₂₂ by respectively different timings. By this method, the respective lines of the hot melt H₂₁, H₂₂ can be independently detected, and an absence on a line of the hot melt H₂₁, H₂₂ can be easily detected.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
