PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elastic modulus measuring device simply determing the elastic modulus of a matter. ;SOLUTION: When a subject mounts a pulse wave detecting part 9 to the finger tip part of his finger to pressurize a pressure sensor 110, a CPU 4 obtains the DC component of a photodetective signal LS and stores it in a calibration table 50 while corresponding with a pressure level. After this, the CPU 4 calculates each threshold value to be reference at the time of grading pressing force based on the maximum value P max of the pressure level and the table 50 and houses it in a pressurizing information threshold value table 51. Then pressurizing information OJ is generated by referring to the table 51. In addition, displacing information X at the time of pressurizing is calculated by double- integrating acceleration information AJ from an acceleration sensor.
