METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR SEALING ANNULAR INTERSTICE BETWEEN TWO SEALING SURFACES OF MACHINE PART, IN PARTICULAR, MACHINE PART OF EXTRUSION MOLDING MACHINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform sealing even against extremely high pressure by sealing a ring interstice between the two sealing surfaces of machine parts with a ring in contact with both these sealing surfaces. SOLUTION: The sealing apparatus is such that a ring 7 is placed between an opposite member 2 being machine parts and two flat surfaces 8, 9 opposed to each other of a constitutional member 6, and the constitutional member 6 is put between an extrusion device 1 and a slider 4 for sealing the slider 4. By such sealing, molding material is precluded from flowing in the radial direction passing through an interstice between the slider 4 and the opposite member 2 in one side, or passing through an interstice between the slider 4 and the extrusion device 1 or the constitutional member 6 for housing an urging piece provided in the extrusion device 1 in the other side. As such, sufficient sealing can be done even against significantly high pressure.
