SILICA FERTILIZER CONTAINING POTASSIUM COMPONENT AND ITS PRODUCTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the fertilizer which has sufficient foams within it even at the time of producing it by using a simple equipment and also is safely used for growing a crop plant and capable of promoting growth of the crop plant and further has improved solubility in water. SOLUTION: This fertilizer consists of a hardened body of a foam-containing material which has incorporated foams within it and is produced from a calcareous raw material, a silica raw material, a potassium salt and an organic foaming agent, wherein: the foam-containing material also contains a foam stabilizer; the foaming agent is a surfactant; and further, the hardened body is formed by curing the foam-containing material. The production of the fertilizer comprises: mixing a calcareous raw material and a silica raw material together; thereafter adding a potassium salt to the mixed raw material to form a mixture; on the other hand, adding a foaming agent to an aq. solution of a foam stabilizer and mixing them together while agitating to form a foamy slurry; adding the above mixture to the slurry thus formed to produce a foam-containing material; curing the foam-containing material to form a hardened body; and thereafter, drying and grinding the hardened body to produce the objective fertilizer; wherein the curing is performed by using an ordinary temp. curing, steam curing or autoclave curing process.
